Proposals for the Recreation ground pavillion

Your Views are needed

The Recreation ground pavilion is a poor state of repair and the Parish Council has been considering various options for its future for some time.

The Council has been approached by Colden Common Football Club with a proposal for its development and an alternative proposal by members of Colden Common Shed.  CCFC wish to retain changing facilities whilst the shed proposal may not necessary retain changing facilities, but will offer toilets for Recreation ground users.  In the past representations have been made for it to be developed as a Youth Building.

The Parish Council are seeking views not only from Sports Clubs but from RESIDENTS of the Parish at next weeks meeting the of Recreation Committee.  You can view the agenda by clicking HERE.  You can view the two proposals that have been put forward by clicking HERE.

No final decision will be made, but it is hoped that this meeting will provide some direction in terms of what the buildings purpose (and indeed the use of the land) would be in the future.

Any plans would be subject to public consultations, agreement by the Full Parish Council, the Recreation Ground Charity and approval by the Charity Commission whose land the pavilion sits on.
