Colden Common and Twyford Community Speedwatch
Community SpeedWatch allows members of the community to become police support volunteers and take action by helping the police to educate drivers on the speed limits in our Villages.
Volunteers use equipment that can monitor the speed of passing traffic and record the details, later adding them to a database. Vehicle checks will be undertaken by the police and letters will then be sent to the registered keepers advising them of the speed and reminding them of why it is a community concern.
SpeedWatch is an educational volunteer group, whose aim is to be a frequent presence in our villages, to slow traffic down.

We are a group working within the boundaries of Colden Common in order to preserve the natural habitat and so encourage wildlife. Membership is free and not confined to residents of Colden Common. We coppice, plant trees and natural bulbs, cut back scrub, erect bird boxes etc.
We meet on the second Sunday of most months for a couple of hours from 10.00am so if you enjoy good company and would like to encourage all forms of wildlife for the present and future generations please get in touch.
